(1.20) Shields on troops

If a troop takes damage to its shields during ground combat, that damage is carried over to the next ground combat. Or so it seems. My troops are fully supplied and undamaged, and move and fight normally. They all started out with full shield strength. But in later invasions, some of them begin with less than full strength shields and some with no shields at all.

Should restore to 100%

Although if it is a whole turn (ie a month) between combats, the units should have their shields restored.

Yes, there was at least one turn between combats. For that matter, I can't think of a way to have any given Troop involved in more than one ground combat per turn.

I even tried waiting several turns as an experiment. Didn't help.

Land multiple shiploads of troops should work, it did in SEIV. (Albiet, most of the time when you needed a second shipload you were playing a mod...)
