Resupplying Bases

Submitted by rayres on Thu, 2006-12-28 11:33. Space Empires V FAQs

I have a question about bases. Do I need a resupply depot on a planet where a base is in order to replenish it?

Thanks

Rob

No, a resupply depot

No, a resupply depot anywhere in the system should be able to resupply the base.

Brad is correct, you only

Brad is correct, you only need a resupply base in the system to resupply any ship or base in that system. Just be aware that the amount of supplies and ordinance generated by 1 resupply depot (at lvl 1) is a platry 500 of each per turn, which is not enough to support anything more than 1 small ship really.

Resupply depots do stack so you can have more than 1 and gain added benefits.

What if the base...

is not near a planet? Do you have to send a resupply ship to it?

Example: Base "X" is on the opposite side of a warp point from you planets.

How does it get resupplied?

Resuply

if its in a system without a resuply base yes you will have to send a resuply ship. However in a system with a resuply base supplies will be toped up from the amount it distributes automatically even if the base is not in orbit of a planet in the same way as ships in system are.

Or alternativly if you are

Or alternativly if you are designing a long range base, use quantam generators or solar collectors, 8 or so on a base makes it capable of resupplying itself.
