Dragonlance Annimated Movie!! |
Now this may not excite some of you but I was fairly happy when I stumbled accross this nugget. Having read the orignal DragonLance trilogy when I was in my early teens (think about 12-12) I really loved them and have been a fan of Fantasy and SciFi ever since, they where some of the 1st books I read in the genre that has gone on to shape the vast majority of the huge amount of reading I have done since.
It looks like it is going to get a reasonable budget and is being done a full on animated movie with some proper stars on board like Keither Sutherland and Lucy Lawless, and they are aiming for a pg-13 / 12a rating which also fills me with hope that they ain't kiddifying it to much.

Its Mithras a god who might be rather familar to a certain someone supposedly born tomorrow.

Hopefull its not as bad as the last two DnD based movies. At least this one is based on a story that is allready proven to be good.
I just wish they would do a Dark Elf (Drizzt) trilogy next.
Only problem is that American animated movies are mostly for kids, i'm expecting this to be like the animated LOTR.
Brings me hope.
I hope the animation style is good. If its CG I hope its more like Final Fantasy than Pixar... though I really do dislike CG animation.
One american show whose non-cg animation style i like is Venture Brothers. I hope if they go that route instead of CG that they use a style like that or some kind of anime style. IIRC Titan AE had decent animation as well. If its flash animation like what is really popular on most cartoons now a days I will be VERY dissapointed.
I fear american animated movies, lol. I will be anxious to see what this is going to be be like.
George R. Martins HBO series
This is nothing compared to George R. Martins series getting turned into a seven season HBO miniseries.... That will kick some serious butt. HBO does things right...
