Why I bought another copy....

Submitted by M--5 on Thu, 2006-12-21 11:44. Space Empires V General

Well, I just picked up my second copy of SEV (first from EB Games, this one from Best Buy).

Why?

1. I believe in Aaron & Malfador; I'm sure by the time they're done patching SEV it'll exceed my expectations.

2. I want a license so my son and I can play (well, he's only 5 and 1/2 now, but I'm planning ahead).

3. I want retailers to understand there's a market for turn-based strategy.

Keep up the good work.

M--5

I corrupted many of my family into gaming and will get more than one copy of SEV in the new year when Multiplayer is fully working as its a bit temperamental at the moment I believe

Well, he's already 1/2way

Well, he's already 1/2way through the 2nd grade phonics book and is reading quite nicely. Smiling

Actually, about a year ago we went down to the art museum and they had a statue there...he said, "That's Perseus holding Medusa's head." This little old lady did a double take and looked around to see what little person came up with that. Smiling

They're sponges at that age, so we're doing our best to fill 'em up with something of a little more intrinsic value than SpongeBob.

As for gaming, at this point it's boardgames like TransAmerica (he's a train nut). I'll ramp 'em up as appropriate!

bit off topic

Be careful with the Greek myths my dear brother once got into trouble for telling them to my nephew apparently "they are inappreciably violent" LOL

Never did me any harm it was the interest in history which lead to the pile of bladed weapons in the corner, the long bow the swords, the spears, the axes the bills et al

I wonder what they would consider to be appreciably violent *LOL*.

Personally I found that stuff for myself when I started to read (was a late bloomer due to dyslexia, but have more than made up for it since) I would say whatever the kid wants to read is appropriate even if its that best selling work of fiction the bible, as long as the kid gets to read it for themselves so they can get all the juicy bits Smiling

As for collections of weapons, I have real and rubber ones Smiling
