Submitted by evirus on Wed, 2006-12-20 14:44. Space Empires V General

so i start a game, find another empire, sign a treaty that includes the condition that i cant sign treaties with others... the SAME empire asks to sign another treaty and the game won't let me because of the first treaty.

note: I have installed the latest patch

not a bug

Submitted by evilginger on Wed, 2006-12-20 14:59.

Not a bug since its working as its supposed to but it is a bit silly the way it does work, if its a better treaty offer to break the old one and replace it with the new one or renegotiate the existing one. However the AI doesn’t work quite that intelligently yet

Use Change Treaty

You or they need to propose a "Change in Treaty" rather than a new treaty - I believe this circumvents the no treaty clause.

Mutual defence treaty

Regarding the mutual defence treaty : When your allies are attacked and you accept to help them, they don’t let you know who their enemies are.

I know thats something that has always really bugged me, especaily when its an empire that i like and want to help. When they ask for help they should automaticaly tell who, and where (giving star maps of systems they want help in, and the route to get there would also help hugely.).
