Supply Magic! |
In my latest attempt to play the Demo I had the following thing occur: I was getting going pretty good and noticed that although I had surplus Rad and Org points at the end of every turn they were not being posted to my general supply. The Mineral points were flowing properly. Finally, despite my building some new Org and Rad extractors in new colonies those two accounts went to zero. The next turn two of my planets went into riots and the Organic and Radioactives accounts were magically restored to around forty-thousand points each!
I had thought that the riots were, maybe, due to an exhaustion of the two categories of goods. The riots did not stop after the goods magically reappeared. I have no idea whether the riots and the zero balances were related. I also have no clue as to why the Minerals kept on going properly except that possibly they were all from my home planet? I had so many spare minerals that I did not build any Mineral extraction facilities on new planets.
Is this a bug with supply accumulation? What causes the riots? I thought it might be my opposition Intel but I was ahead of my only opponent and smashing him every turn with superior Intel projects.
Not Spaceports
I saw this same problem early on in my first play through the demo. Definitely a bug. Rads and organics are not getting correctly added into the surplus, and I think construction points are coming out of what is in storage. So if storage drops to 0 then you get construction problems. I didn't see any riots but I did get all of my construction queues put on hold. And I absolutely had spaceports.

Disappearing Resources driving me CRAZY
This exact problem is happening to me as well. I'm trying to play a turn based (NOT simultaneous), same machine game. All of my systems have spaceports so this is not the issue. Empire status clearly indicates I have a surplus of all three mineral types. My reserve drops to zero for organics and radioactives, minerals never drop below 50,000. Occasionally, It will suddenly show about 10k each of radio and org, but then it quickly drops to zero again and my queues stop. Wicked annoying.
FYI, I am playing the retail version 1.00 SE:V

It was related to the usage rates being incorrect. It has since been corrected...

I was freaking out LOL. Now I just have to wait for next week's patch

Having a similar problem,
But only with Radioactives. I used up a lot doing retrofits, now they will not accumulate AT ALL, despite the fact that I'm cranking in over 42k in surplus a turn!
I was going to research the resource converter, just to see me through this demo game (which I am totally hooked on, a good sign;)

Are you using the spaceports
Are you using the spaceports to get your minerals rads and orgs sent to the empire properly?
