Description
I've been playing a game for awhile and am in year 2418.0. I save the game every turn but that doesn't seem to have much of an affect. If I quit and restart, the Mem usage will be at about 38MB. After the first move, memory jumps to 112 MB. Then it will increase about 30 to 40 MB per turn. When it reaches about 600 MB. The game will often hang. I can quit and the cycle then repeats itself. I keep 1 turn of combat replays and 10 turns of log history. If I keep 0 turns of log history, it does not make a difference for the amount of memory used. The increased memory usage begins about 15 to 20 seconds after the "Processing after all player turns..." message and stops growing when the message disappears.

Well just had to add my two cents that this is still a major problem in 1.25 though I get up to about 900MB peak memory usage before it dies.
