Enemy satellite in planet continues ground combat

I took over an enemy planet, and destroyed all ground forces. However, there is an enemy satellite in the cargo of the planet. I obviously own the planet, since I'm building things on it. However, I continue to have ground combat, which lasts for 5 seconds, every turn. How do I actually fight this satellite once and for all?
