Recycle/Destroy Units

Submitted by Shakerfish on Fri, 2006-12-01 12:02. Space Empires V General

Does anyone know how to quickly recycle or destroy units on planets? I have an average of 100 units on each planet and I have at least ten planets or more. Selecting each one of them to be recycled is a long and tedious task. The only way I can quickly do it is load them on to a carrier and destroy (not recycle) the carrier. Any better ideas?

Thanks

Just select the planet where

Just select the planet where the cargo is, then go to the cargo orders, then select "scrap cargo" (the building with the recycle sign.) It'll bring up a list of all structures and cargo on the planet. Select all items you want scrapped, and there you go.

That's my point.

That’s my point exactly. There is no way to select multiple units with just a few clicks like you can it SEIV. At least not that I know of. Sure you can select all the units you want scrapped, but you still have to click on one at a time and then click the recycle button. I was hoping there was a way to select 10, 20 or even 100 units at a time and then click scrap. Am I just doing it wrong?

There should be a control down at the bottom to select numbers...

I'll go poke around and see if I can find what you're looking for. I've about had my fun playing with weapon graphics, I'm goign to need help to understand what I'm doing there anyway.
