Colonizing forbidden??? |
Ok, I have a treaty that 'allows colonizing in each others systems'... but now I'm unable to colonize in a system apparently as a result of a treaty. But I have no treaties with anyone with forbid any colonizing. Only the one I mentioned. Any ideas what the problem might be?
Thanks,
Javaslinger

Bugged?
Does that treaty's clause specify both empires, or just one empire? If it just specifies yours, it could be that it's bugged into thinking it concerns the other empire, or the entire clause could be bugged.

Can You Colonize in Each Other's Systems?
javaslinger,
Have you tried to colonize in each other's systems like the treaty specifies to see if this treaty is now limiting you to colonize only in each other's systems? I would think this treaty is merely allowing each other to colonize in each other's systems without precluding colonizing in any other system. If it allows colonizing in each other's system while precluding you from colonizing anywhere else then that sounds like a bug to be fixed.

Did you select "colonize
Did you select "colonize homeworld type only" under game setup? That would prevent you from colonizing worlds that you're technically able to.
If that's not it, then save the game, break all treaties, and colonize away. That should answer whether it's a treaty restriction or not.
