Space Empires V General
Hey guys can anyone tell me if there is a option to save your ship designs when you save a empire. Its a real pain having to redesign all my ships and units when ever I start a new game. I may be over looking it but I did not see any option to save my designs Ie. like in SEIV.

Ship designs can be saved with your Empire file though.

There isn't currently a save designs feature. It's probably because of the different levels that are involved in each hull, and the various levels of all the components. There are just too many possibilities to be able to save designs, unless you plan on designing a new design for every hull size.
A possible feature would be to be able to set up loadouts using X of component Y, followed by % of component Z, and things like that, so that any hull size could be handled. But that's still a bit of a hassle...
