Crash in Alliance Chambers

When in the alliance chambers and I make any proposals, there is then a vote option that appears on the left side of the screen. If I click the 'vote yes' option, the game crashes with an exception error every time. Just wanted to mention this. Thanks.

Alliance/treaty system

Submitted by swordsbane on Tue, 2006-11-28 18:17.

I haven't been able to get alliances to work well enough to use them at all. I started a multi-player game with several "player" controlled races (all controlled by me) to test the treaty/alliance system and found all of it to be hopelessly confusing. Treaties not doing what they're supposed to do, Alliances where I can get only two members (the origonal two) and then if I try to add any more, it crashes on me. I can never get two races allied in combat against a third. Everytime I try, the supposed allies open fire on each other

And yes, non-agression and mutual defense were both enabled in the treaty. Haven't had a chance to try it with alliances since the game crashes so much, but can't get a third member into the alliance. I go through the motions voting on admittance and get nothing. Also, I think something's funky with changing treaties. I've altered a few treaties during the game and sometimes the new treaty elements don't actually take effect.

The whole treaty-alliance thing is so messed up. I don't even want to try to make sense of it any more. Maybe the next patch will fix some things.
