[1.17] memory leak ?

1.17 stock with some modifications (250 galaxy AI from BM 8+4 AI )

date 2409 - turn processing takes ages ..... every turn is worse

task manager shows 900 MB memory use - after relanching the game i can play 3-4 turns until i got the loops again

seems that game doesn't clear memory at all

Could you give us some specifics on the game, such as if the computers are fighting each turn, how many systems you think they control, how many ships they may have, etc? This is obviously a memory leak, but solving a memory leak is much harder than you might imagine and any relevant data can help in tracking a solution down.

i used the "master" to browse them

12 AI in total 8 full 4 "lite" one's

ships around 200 each with many satelites/mines too

i saw one strange thing when some ships on autoroute encounter enemy ship during they move. They move forth and back until the remaining movement is over (they move on hex back and enemy ship disappear - then move again - discover enemy - move back etc...)

it happens only when the enemy "sit" on warp point

AI built many ships and doesn't move them as fleets in many cases

in one empire i saw 14 ships in space on the same location ( not in fleet)

BM stock with my mod and stock

it starts to slowdown the bluebar "processing all players turn"

the same round after exiting and loading game taken 16 sec instead of 2 min 11 sec ...

also seems that restarting helps with normal AI processing ( played with 3 AI + 2 AI weak ) 118 turn for stock and 90 turn for BM

in meantime i got windows "memory low" warning = crash ( i have fixed size 1500 MB set ... and the game takes over 1.2 GB of them .... )

Easy difficulty

This is something that definitely needs fixed. Playing SE:V is starting to bring my computer to a grinding halt, more than quadrupling shutdown times. You should try playing with the AI on the easiest difficulty. This disables several of the ministers the AI uses. If the memory leak dissapears, try medium again. This will help determine if it's a minister issue.
