Any ideas why when I load SEV I am stuck in a windows mode/screen where performance is horrible. I had no problem with SEV in 1.13 not in a window mode...........?

Yes, it's a selectable option under video that you can change. At the opening menu - where you pick New Game, Quick Start, etc. click on Settings and then pick Video. The standard (stock) setting is 1024x768x32.
Just remember that once you'ce chosen any resolution - including Windowed - that choice will ALWAYS remain in effect anytime you play until you manually change it again.
