Where are the premade empires?

Did I miss something, Why didn't SEV ship with premade empires to load up? I can see that there are premade empires for the computer to make as AI players, but there aren't any empire profiles to load (the 2k 3k and 5k profiles).

Are they located somewhere that I'm not thinking of?

I was wondering about this

Submitted by voodoo_pete on Wed, 2006-11-22 21:49.

I was wondering about this myself, so what I did was load up a Quick Start game, choose one there, hit begin, then once the actual game starts bring up the menu and Save Empire. And poof, saved premade for non-Quick Start use.

A lot of bases to cover... ?

I suppose some could be provided at the default settings, but to provide a pre-made Empire file for each combination of racial point and starting tech point amount would be a lot. Sticking out tongue

nah kwok - just one for each

Submitted by se5a on Thu, 2006-11-23 00:47.

nah kwok - just one for each of the "stock" races.
I told aaron that there should be a way to just load the quickstart stock races from start new game but he must have never goten round to it.

A very good suggestion indeed. Let's hope it will appear in a forthcoming patch.

Thanks pete, that's a great suggestion. You'll end up with empire files that have some tech levels already (your planet type). so you'll have to give low tech level in the set up screen in order to load that empire.

Great Idea though, I'm going to do it.
