Share Ressuply with Allies

In an alliance, there is a treaty element which allows allied empires to share ressuply and repair. However, when I try to land on an allies' planet to get ressuplied I can't. Also, It doesn't seem as if their system-wide ressuply works on my ships (x resources to all ships in system). Is this a bug? Or can I not land on allied planets to resupply because we don't have a non-aggression treaty or what? That would kind of defeat the purpose of sharing resuuply :/

Check the settings -- make sure its turned on for BOTH ways ( or at least your way and not theirs!)

Yea, resuply is set both

Submitted by Stump86 on Sun, 2006-11-19 23:24.

Yea, resuply is set both ways. Here's exactly what I'm doing.

My ship is in an allied system (their homeworld system) I give it the "ressuply at nearest" order and it moves towards an allied planet that I can't currently see. When the ship is adjacent to the planet it clears its orders. I thought it clearing orders upon meeting another empire, but that option is unchecked. The ship also will not follow an order to move onto the same planet it headed to when i gave it the resuplly at nearest command. Lastly, It does not recieve supplies per turn for staying stationry within the system, and the system modifiers list on the upper left doesn't say anything about recieving supplies.

Just wondering what exactly the ressuply element of the treaty does if it doesn't let me ressuply. If any1 is getting resuplied (or repaired) by their allies maybe it has something to do with the non-agression element?

there's a whack with treaties atm... if you don't have a non-aggression clause along with the resupply clause (or any other shared anything clause) you can't occupy the same hex as the AI without combat. I have a trade treaty, resupply, repair, and a few other things with an AI in my current game but because there is no non-aggression clause his ships trying to resupply from me keep attacking my warp defenses Sticking out tongue

Fun thing is he never gets upset about losing 10-15 battleships at a time either lol...

Yea that's what I was

Yea that's what I was thinking Guess I'll have to put non-aggression in all future treaties. Thanks

Can you current enter into

Submitted by Zaphod on Tue, 2006-11-21 11:59.

Can you current enter into the same sector with another race even with a non-agression treaty in all systems? I've noticed that a ship that is Cloaked currently can not enter into a that has another empires ships or planet with the Move command (The other empire does not have a tech level to see it). So if they are directly on top of a warp point and I am trying to pass them to warp out I have to use the Attack command to occupy the same sector. As long as I am clocked, combat will not be initiated. Now if I am warping through a warp point into a defended point on the other end I have no problem.

Would this same issue apply to sharing sectors with another empire currently under a Non-Agression stip (granted the proper conditions are met 'in non-colony space' 'in all systems' etc)
