Why the game stops between turns |
Ok, I've identified the circumstance that makes the game lock up. I started a game with all the computer players in cooperative mode, and all was well until a new empire is created, by revolution or revolt or whatever. This new empire do battle with a computer player, and the game locks up. So, here's the challenge: Until this gets fixed, the only way for us to stop this from happening, is to stop the game from spawning new empires during a game (which is does quite insanely, I had the number of players go from 10 to 21 once before it locked up permanently).
If some of you know where in the def files to disable this feature, it would be peachy. If not, the game as of now is sadly unplayable...

You got it. This was fixed in patch 1.16
If you want Area of Effect weapons in SE5, email aaron and ask him nicely to add it.

Next Patch
Eta for the next patch was 20th of November, but you can’t be sure the patch will be out and build 1.16 might not be quite the finished patch either. Though from the logs on 1.14 -1.16 seem to have addressed most of the bugs I have heard of so far

Well I sure hope its a fix to the freeze up while calc'ing the computers turns, because I just had a game lock up after 18 turns.
