Population ministers?

Does anyone know if the population ministers work? They don't seem to be for me. I turn them on my transports yet they just sit there. And I have populations ministers turned on under empire options.

Is this a known bug and does anyone know if it has been addressed?

Is there an easy way to manage the transfer of your population. To me this is the most tedious part of the game and the only areas the AI is whoopin' me in despite far fewer colonies and systems.

I think you need to have some other ministers on (I don't use them at all, so not sure). Try turning on the ship ministers and make sure the transports have their ministers on.

Problem with ministers...

There's a bug where you need to have the ship design minister on in order for the other ministers to work - which is bad because the AI will make its own designs for your ships...

...although the Balance Mod v0.97 should be ok in this respect.

Are you saying that I can turn on the ship design minister if I'm using your mod and they won't make designs?

No, he's saying balance mod AI builds better ships.

...that the design minister doesn't need to be turned on in the Balance Mod for the AI to use other ship ministers. I incorporated the fix from the v1.15 of SE:V in v0.97 of the Balance Mod - at least in theory. I didn't test it specifically.

I feel stupid. I thought that was a code problem, not something fixable by modding...

Let me guess, I was half-right and its a script problem (which, for me, is just ad bad at this point Laughing out loud )

I find that if your minister stile is aggressive then they will use their ship to attack, and defensive ones will just sit there. Never use ministers on ships... its such a waste of time and ships
