Really Weird Occurence |
I am playing a nice slow paced game of stock right now (SE:V 1.13) I have been building up and outwards without any contact so far; I ended a turn without exploring new systems and on my next log I get a 'First Contact' message... 2 odd things about this: 1) the first contact was in a system very far away from me and one I don't have any warp point connection to; 2) One of the enemy ships had my flag (and was selectable and viewable by me). Now, seeing as how I had no contact with anyone, I had no intelligence projects running. I have a few intelligence depots built for that inevitable first contact but everything is at defense right now.
Anyone else encountered a weird 'glitch' like this?

It also happened to me.
It also happened to me.
Sort of weird feature indeed, because without any “first contact” before, these alien crews are not supposed to known about our civilization. So why/how should they decide to join us ?

(2 turns later they empire in question sent me a message telling me to get out of their system, the following turn they destroyed 'my' ship)
Random Events
Sounds like a random event -- the crew mutinied over to you.
Its a known "feature".
