Sphere Worlds

Submitted by Avatar on Wed, 2006-11-15 16:08. Space Empires V General

Hello all,

Enjoying the game so far, removing the ministers for cargo and supplies really helped the game turns.

now for my Q:

I meet all the requirements to build a Sphere world, I have gone as far as going into a empty system, creating a star, I move 1 sphere world base ship, 10 gravity plating ships (20 000tons which is needed) and 10 density cables base ships next to it. When i click on the Sphere world ship and select create construction (or something similar) nothing happens.

Am i missing something? I have everything i need to create the sphere world or is there mre to it?

thanks

How do you remove them for cargo and supplies?

Fleet Up?

Submitted by Omnius on Wed, 2006-11-15 19:49.

I haven't gotten near sphereworld creation yet but do you need to fleet up your ships and then give the create command to the fleet? Maybe selecting one ship doesn't show the program you've gotten all the prerequisites along for the ride.

Your sphere world generator

Submitted by Dante on Wed, 2006-11-15 21:24.

Your sphere world generator has to be on something that has some movement. Essentially you build everything in the one hex and then the sphere world generator gets ordered into the middle of the star which creates the world.

You dont need to fleet the ships. Dantes suggestion will work for you. Colonising them is the hard part. If I remember take a Rock Colony ship and hit the colonise button and then select hexes on the edge of the world

sphereworlds

to create one just have everything right next to the star (I just use all baseships for eash) then select ONLY the baseship with the core piece and the stellar manipulation button should toggle click that and it will show the create sphereworld button click that and then click on the center of the star.

To colonize the result you generally have to first get the colony ship TO The sphereworld then once it arrives choose colonize and the hex it's in. (in other words select the colony ship, click on colonize, click on the sphereworld anywhere, wait til the ship arrives, select the ship and hit colonize then select the hex the ship is in.)

Thats what I do?

I have all my equipment on base ships, 10 of gravity ships and 10 density cable ships and 1 speher world generator.

I move tham all next to the star I click on the speher world base ship the stellar button apears, i click on it but non of the other are highlighted. So, how big is a sphereworld? could it be that I created the sun to close to the edge of the sector map (about 12 hex's away from the edge if not less)
