Mine Cloaking

Mines still have the 5 cloak types from SE4 listed as abilities... I thought the cloak types were removed in SE5! How does cloaking work, anyway?

Cloaking and sensors

Well, the VehicleSize file gives a cloaking level so that might be there in some form. However, when I started looking up the scanners that defeat cloaks I noticed they had a range stat based on level.

Which, judging from the size of the systems, actually makes cloaking useful, you just have to be far enough away to avoid detection... or you have to have sensors pretty much all over the solar system to see a cloaked ship.

Now, I'm wondering if the cloak values stack. Say, if you hide a cloaked ship in a storm that provides it's own obscuration.

As far as I have seen and tested mine cloaking is not working at all in SE V at the moment (version 1.44).

Mine cloaking is fixed in v1.45 (currently in beta).
