Combat Problems |
I posted this in the technical support...and then realized those are rarely answered quickly because everyone posts here:
I have been having several issues with combat ending early or not concluding. These include:
1: Ground Combat -- I have my troops landed, destroy the militia and all the buildings, so there is nothing else visible to be destroyed. However, the enemy planet's cargo shows that they have 5 mines. This continues in a never-ending cycle, because no matter how many buildings I destroy, the mines are never visible for me to destroy.
2: Space Combat -- Sometimes, combat concludes 5 seconds into battle. My ships have movement points, and there are enemy units in the system, yet the combat abruptly ends after only 5 seconds.
3: Space Combat -- I have ships travelling through a galaxy, taking warp points along the way. However, when coming through a warp point (this has sometimes happened in open space), with enemy systems in that sector, my ships appear outside the little circle of combat, and combat ends after 5 seconds. This continues until the movement points of the ships are depleted, and is VERY annoying.
Hopefully, 1.14 will fix this patch, buuuut, that's not out yet, so does anyone have workarounds to make this game playable until that patch is available?
Please help.
Thank you.
RE: Combat Problems
I don't see a SE5 forum called technical support... can you provide a link, please, if it is indeed a forum somewhere?
I presume you're referring to ver. 1.13:
After successful ground combat, I've noticed that left over mines and satellites showing as 'Occupying Troops on Planet' can be scrapped, to get rid of them.
What I've had trouble with in G. Combat even since the 'troops that don't move' fix, is that no militia is being generated like it should, and no facilities show up in the combat window, only those terrain-like, non-important, 'buildings'.
have fun, RB

Double Posting
Double posting is bad... especially since I already dropped by technical support and gave you some answers.
