Real System names Mod |
Here is a new mod for Space Empires V :
It’s certainly the smallest mod so far 
It simply replaces the system names of the stock version by 102 real stellar system names. So now you can send you colonists to systems such as Alpha Centauri, Sirius, Antares or Tau Ceti.
You can download the mod by clicking
Installation : Just unzip the Systemnames.txt file into the data folder of your game.
Do not forget to make a backup of your original Systemnames.txt file.

I should note that I posted a list of real star names that has 292 names in it over on Shrapnel a few weeks ago; you need at least 255 to cover modding settings.txt to increase the max number of systems. You can go higher than 255 of course, but it gets pretty silly with so many systems crammed into the quadrant map.
