Best Way to test ship sets |
I am current working on an asrian ship set. For those of you that don't know they are a a race I thought of back in seiv they are human but they are thier own group and despise the terrans kinda like the marque(sp) in star trek. Any way what is the best way to test it?

This shipset viewer is only
This shipset viewer is only able to show you if the models and textures are ok and if they are correct rotated. If you want to test the scaling of ships (the three numbers in the X-config file) or the size and location of the engine lights you have to run the game with the shipset.
I would appreciate if i could see this in this viewer but there is no documentation to it. Only some key-commands which all don't see to work. In my case i can only spin the model and toggel the greid on and of. There is also a commandline but without knowing any commands its useless for my purpose.
Do anyone know more about this viewer?

I can't help you with the viewer, i've just been throwing models straight into the game and testing it through there
(by the way, the textured frigate on my shipset is working fine now, started work on the destroyer now.)

Shipset Viewer
If you mean these lines:
Starting Scale X := 0.02
Starting Scale Y := 0.02
Starting Scale Z := 0.02
They work in the view just fine. Changing definitely affects the relative size of ships.
Press "r" to toggle engine center-lines. It displays a white crosshair for the engine location. You are right about the size/radius not displaying though.
If these functions still don't work, I'm at a loss as to what your problem could be. Make sure your lines of code are correct...
