Screen resolution problem

Submitted by SolarWind on Wed, 2006-11-01 09:44. Space Empires V FAQs

Hi People!
I'm playing SE series for a long time, and very liked this game, but i'm have a problem with new SE5...

I have a 17 CRT monitor, and i'm trying to play SE5 with 1024x768 screen resolution.
Everything is working, but all icons and text in options windows is looking too small, it's just impossible to play, i'll just will broke eyes.

Also - it's strange, that when i'm seeng screenshots on this site - all option windows is looking largest, and close one to another.
In my case windows are small, and appeared not close one to another.
I have tried all options in setup, but same problem is still here.

My video card is Nvidia Ge-Force MX2-440, 32 MB
at Pentium3-600 computer.
512 MB RAM
I'm posting here a link to screenshot from a gam, so you can see how is looking my game screen:

Hello,

Looking at your screen shot your game is actually running at 1280 x 1024. Go into the setup menu from the initial launch screen, from there you will see the option "Video Mode". You can change the resolution of the game from this option, just choose 1024 x 768.

Hope this helps.

Thank you Jrock and Combat Wombat!
I'm solved this problem.
A resolution in the setup screen has appeared as 1024x768(so i'm not touched this option before), but actually game has worked in 1280x1024.
I'm changed res. to 1024x768.
And now is apearing in setup screen like before -(1024x768)
But also working with same 1024x768.
