So I had be ripping through one particular AI's ships to come to some of it's original worlds... Wow! The planet defenses tore me apart! And it looks like it onely have like 2 mounts down there!

What does it have down there and what do I need to take it out????

Missiles... the longer the range the better..

It probably has weapons platforms on the planets armed with lots of really power Depleted Uranium Cannons. You need to outrange those planetary guns. Arm your ships with capital ship missiles... and make sure your missiles are high enough level to outrange the planet.

Also, make sure you are not in any treaties that forbid planetary bombardment. Those won't allow you to fire at the planet at all.

So if you're in a treaty

So if you're in a treaty that forbids planetary bombardment, you can't override it and do it anyway until you break the treaty?

Thanks,

You have to break treaty BEFORE the attack.
