How to set (and forget) the AutoSave per turn?

Submitted by raynor on Mon, 2006-10-30 22:04. Space Empires V FAQs

I want to set the game so that every time I start a new game, it will AutoSave every turn. Where do I set this? I know where to set it AFTER I've started a new game. I want to know where to set it *BEFORE* I start a new ame. In other words, I want the game to retain the setting so that if the game crashes but I forgot to set AutoSave when I startd the game, I'll be able to just go back to a previously Autosaved game without having lost everything.

Thanks!

Doesn't Exist

Alas, you have to set it anew every single game from what I can tell.

Play in Simultaneous Turns

Play in Simultaneous Turns mode. You won't get tactical combat, but it will save your game every turn as part of the turn generation process, because it's required for multiplayer.

All you have to do to keep all your settings after you start a new game. Is to Save Your Empire after you have All your settings the way you like them. You then start a new game using the saved Empire.

After you create your game & empire and then start your first turn. You can go to the options and "Save Empire", this will keep all the settings that you set 'in game' including display options and your 'autosave'.

That wasn't the way it worked in SEIV, and I'm reasonably certain it doesn't work that way now, because autosave ISN'T an empire setting, its a game setting thats universal across all empires.
