Any chance of different setup options for each player?Submitted by Aurore on Thu, 2008-08-21 04:39. Space Empires V GeneralI'd like to be able to create a game where you get a tick box called 'unequal start' This would allow me to specify how many systems a player starts with, and not all need start with the same, and also allow different players to have diferent points totals. This would let me knock up some quick scenarios for fun, for example to set 1 player or AI up as the 'ancient evil empire' with 12 systems and lots of points, higher starting tech but slower tech research, and everyone else on 1 system etc. Given the game already has the tools to set up a player with x systems and spend their points, this should be easy to implement, just need an option to let each player start sifferently. » read more | 6 comments |

Space Empires V MultiplayerThe game has a good mix of players new to the game and some more experienced ones. The game started with 8 players and is at turn number 2403.0. 2 players left, so we have 2 spots open right now. One of these spots is actually for the leading player! At least, that's what the player said before he had to leave due to real life priorities Starting resources: 100000 » read more | 16 comments |
Crash when recovering fighters in tactical combatSubmitted by p049979 on Thu, 2008-08-21 16:36. Technical SupportHi, i have just got SE5 and its great except that i cant recover my fighters once they have launched in the tactical combat. Here is a break down of what happens for me, I launch the fighters (this works fine) Then i click on recover fighters with condensed view turned on in the recover window and hit recover on the fighters, close the window and they do nothing. If i try to select the fighters the game crashes to desktop with some kind of memory violation error. I did notice strangely after some testing that if i hit recover then close the window and open it again and re-deply the fighters it now says are onboard a new set of fighters comes out of the carrier so i now have 2 sets and then if i select any of them it crashes. It would seem as if it thinks they have been recovered and is getting stuck in some kind of loop where it creates massive ammouts of the units or something. This alos dosent seem to be affected by how may it happens with 1 or 100. » read more | 3 comments |
