So when is SE6 coming?

Yea SE5 has been out for a while now and me like many others I'm sure are probably wondering so when is word that SE6 is the works going to come? I was a big fan of SE4 and had a lot of high hopes for SE5 but after well over a year and still a major frame rate bug issue that has plagued a lot of people is still not fixed. I have tried SE5 of 3 computers that I've had since it came out including a brand new one with the "EVIL" Vista installed cause they refuse to see ones with XP anymore Sad.

I try playing SE5 but the jerky mouse is just to frustrating and it always gets worse when you open up a menu and your always opening up menus be it for R&D, building, ship management, and etc. Then there is the fact the game seems to crash every 4-6 turns which is equally annoying considering in a large you probably issued a lot of commands on that turn and manually saving before each turn is annoying. SE4 was great the game ran smooth and was very stable it could run with a ton of other things in the background and not crash. SE5 can be the only thing running and it still crashes. When SE5 came out I gave it a lot of slack for the frame rate issue I was having but after over a year now it makes me think the issue is one within the engine itself and thus a simple patch can't fix it but requires a complete rework of the engine.

Patching european english version

Hi, I bought the european version, but because the german language works so bad I onl play it in english. Is it still impossible to get the newest patches with the european version, do I have to buy the US version?

(I didn't try to install the patches, because I wait with patching in case I pbw, and need to have a certain version than)

How to PROPERLY use custom flags in modded PBW games?

OK, so I was playing a Balance Mod game on PBW, and I used a custom shipset (Dominion), flag (Borg), and race portrait (Gallente) which ARE listed under PBW's supported sets. Turn 1, I load up the game and it says it can't find the Borg flag set in the Balance Mod directory. I hit OK and I can get into the game just fine and see my flag. Turn 2, though, I load up the game and I have a different flag - I think it's either the Terran or the UkraTal one! Strangely enough, my shipset and race portrait stayed the way I wanted. Huh?

Now I had changed my copy of Balance Mod - I set the "allow main empires" to TRUE so that I could actually choose my custom shipset, etc. before the game started. Was this a mistake? Should I have created a dummy folder in the Balance Mod folder for any flags I want to use, or something???

Religous Trait ideas

I wanted to bounce some ideas off everyone to see if this is doable the way i imagine it.

The idea is for a new series of units/structures for the Religious Racial trait similar to what Organic and Crystalline get.

I imagine a unique Temple structure that opens up new unit/ship types. Now what sets these units apart from other units is in the structure points of the troops, fighters and ships. The Tonnage ratio is what determines how hard it is to destroy a said item, correct? More or less the Religious race uses the same stuff as a normal race, but its more resilient. Think of it as religious Zeal and Feel no Pain thanks to their undying belief in their gods.

Fighters and resuppling during combat.

Since I haven't gotten around to modding fighter missles yet I figured I'd ask first and see if this will work. I want to limit the number of shots fighters can carry thus forcing them to rearm and go in succesive waves. Anybody know if this will work, or am I just going to have to try and see.

Organic/Crystalline ships only

In my mod the Organics and Crystalline race can't use the normal vehicles hulls... but I don't know to forbidd the standard vehicles hull... I've tried with an iif formula in requirement field, but it seems that the program can't parse it. So... how can I make this work?

Missing directory in MMF

I've just installed the latest Devnullmod with the additional files from the MMF site. When I tried to run it, I was presented with a list of missing files, all of them associated with a 'lacota' directory. I've checked every directory in the game folder, plus all the system, components, etc. folders from MMF but can't find a 'lacota' directory or sub-directory. I did notice, however, that the files on the MMF download site have been modified on 2.3.08, so I suspect that the missing directory should have been included with them, but has become lost in handling.

Could anyone with more knowledge of this sublect (wouldn't be difficult!) please check and advise if I'm right?
