Sick of weak weapons being able to glass a planet.Submitted by Shyssiryxius on Mon, 2008-09-01 11:52. Space Empires V GeneralIm sick of weapons like a lvl one D.U.C killing like 2 million people in one shot. Ive looked at the data files and tried changing the population killed amount. Default is .05 but im unsure what a good amount is or if that means like .05 million people for every 1 point of damage. Any ideas how to fix this or a way of explaining it to me? Thanks |

How to stop AI players exchanging technology via treaty?Submitted by inertiatic on Mon, 2008-09-01 12:15. Space Empires V GeneralApologies if this has been brought up before but I was wondering if anyone knew a way of negating the ability of AI players to exchange technology levels via treaty? When making a treaty I never tick the 'exchange technologies' box because I like to guard my own technological distinctiveness, however the problem with being so guarded is that you can easily fall behind groups of AI players who trade tech levels with each other, therefore becoming far more technologically advanced in a shorter space of time then they otherwise would have. I know there is a box do disallow exchanging of technologies [i]as gifts[i] but as far as I'm aware that dosent stop anyone trading technologies via a treaty. » read more | 5 comments |
Ambigious Strategy settings are ruining the game for me...Submitted by Slimbo on Mon, 2008-09-01 16:13. Space Empires V GeneralOk, I've tackled this guy's homeworld 3 times barely losing the ground combat each time and losing countless ships in the process (pbw/BM 1.74.) so to soften up the planet a little I set 2 task forces one set to eliminate all weapons, which functioned properly. A 2nd to damage 25% of the planet to eliminate some of the population to take out some militia for my follow up troop dropping attack on the following turn. What happens? Task force 2 glasses the planet. I could have glassed the planet game years ago. Since We're playing allow colonization of homeworld type and this planet doesn't match my type, I'm relieing on an ally to colonize it for me. Not to mention all the turns and time I've wasted on this endeavor. » read more | 8 comments |
