Bug Report: Surrender Reply Lag

I found a bug in the surrender system. I was at war with the AI (Cue Cappa Commonwealth) and had occupied their home system (they only had 2 other colony worlds at this point). I had eliminated their fleet, destroyed their homeworld's defenses, and was demanding their surrender.

They surrendered "Further resistance is folly" or some such, and the other empires were notified.

The very next turn I received a reply to my demand, rejecting it and saying they'd rather die than surrender to me!!!

Apparently the message queue wasn't cleared out when they surrendered and there was a lag.

PBW Error/Difficulties

Hi,

I'm trying to run a PBW game. So far, I've come across a problem. The other players apparently can't run the .gam file- it says that their file doesn't match the ones the game was created with. I'm using the most up to date version of SE 5, plus BM 1.14b

My only guesses are 1) I set the value of the homeworld in the game description to "average" but the value in the game to "good", and 2) I played my turn before uploading the .gam file. I've uploaded a new one where both were corrected, but I've yet to hear back from anybody. Is there anything else I should do?

Minor Modding

Nothing too great, just stuff like making meson blaster and shard cannons shoot projectiles that move so fast that they look as if they are travling at .9 c. So, I just have a few noob questions.

How do you change the range for weapons?

Can you change it so that higher level engines move your ships faster? As in, can my quantum engine ships zip around the battlefield like fighters?

Because I really want to see my dreadnaughts zip around like fighters, my fighters zip around like blurs, and my bullets and beams and missiles to be traveling at light speed velocities.

Can this be done
