A game on Play by Web for new players to the game. The settings are what would be default in my mind. I am new at being a game admin. After you colonize a planet you are asked what kind of colony you want. It gives you a list like mineing refining, military instillation and so on. Is there any difference on which one I choose?

sorry if this has been asked before, but i got my new laptop a few weeks ago, and SE:V was installed and was working perfectly, Then this morning when i tried to play it, it would come up on the task bar at the bottom but the game then crashed my laptop, have gone through everything on my laptop's troubleshoot, and have uninstalled and reinstalled the game countless times and still nothing...

please help, i love this game and i don't want to stop playing it...

For some reason, an alliance i made in a game (im allied with the terrans with my custom race.. full stuff, stopped playing cuz on a huge galaxy 200 ships limit is not enough)

Now im working at starting a new game.. but for X reason.. the elements from the alliance apply to my new games.. all.. the.. time.

Ex: Start game, turn 2, i get maps, techs, comm channels, and designs from one of the CPU players (and the "victim" is always the second player.. the one just after me on the list of faction that we can see when we save/load.. and it is also the slot where the terran were.) but the alliance dont show up in my treaties.. and anyway, that alliance isnt supposed to exist! Its like the game got a corrupted file somewwhere that recreate an alliance with player 2.

First, my apologies if this is a duplication my search fu is weak.

I'm encountering a problem where I cannot reload an older game of SE:V or sometimes start games. I get an error that says "Unable to load file c:\program"

I'm running a Steam version, 1.71.

Any help, suggestions or pointers would be appreciated.
