AI will never research new ships

Hi!

In all games i´ve played on SEV, the Ai will never research and design larger ships then the frigate-type. All other components will be used by the Ai, but they´ll never use a ship larger then a frigate or research in a new hull size.

This happen on the Standart game and the BM-Mod.

Why? How can i make changes at the AI Script files to make the AI to use and research other hull sizes?

Culture System

Hi, I'm trying to create a culture system, similar to civilization I believe. This is the formula I'm think of using, tell me what you guys thinks. By the way "art center" is the facility name I'm using to create the culture system with.

Attacker := [((Total number of art center in the empire/Total number of planets in the empire)*2)+(Relation between the two empires/100)]*[[((Happiness in system connected by warp point*2)/100)*(Art Center in system connected by warp point/1.5)]+[((Happiness in system connected by warp point*2)/100)*(Art Center in system/1.2)]]

Owner := [(Total number of art center in the empire/Total number of planets in the empire)*10]*[[((Happiness in system connected by warp point*2)/100)*(Art Center in system connected by warp point/3)]+[((happiness in system*2)/100)*(Art Center in system/2)]+[(((planet happiness*2)/100)*Art Center on planet)+(Number of ships in system/10)+(planet happiness/150)]]

Post combat freeze

Hi,

I've been playing BM for about a week. I've noticed that after I press the Close button after combat, the AI takes quite a long time to process (on a P4 2.4Ghz i takes about 30 seconds), during which the computer freezes (no mouse neither keyboard input accepted), regardless of whether there were 20 ships or just 2 ships fighting. This happens during both the AI's turns and my turns. I don't know what the AI is calculating after each combat. I think this is related to the BM, as no such problem occurs with stock games.

Is there any way to expedite this post combat processing.

Can New Tech Area be added in SEV? if yes, how?

I want to add a new tech in my own SEVmod, I have already write code to Techarea.txt. it is NOT reported,there are Errors.but when I go into the Tech Chart,the game crushes.I think, what i have done is not enough yet.
Please Any Professor teach me.
