Balance Mod question: Fighter weapon ?

Hi all,

this is a possible dumb question (and may have been posted before) but
as I played SEV these days it occured to me that it could be nice to
have a dedicated Fighter Interceptor, hunting enemy fighter bombers,
clearing the way for my own bombers by eliminating enemy fighters
and especially to help out in the point defense role protecting a fleet/convoy.

However, i did not find a small weapon to put on a fighter which targets
seekers. (I am around TL 4-6, and I did not play a game longer than TL
8 thanks to the steady stream of patches/versions and lack of time Smiling )

Is it possible to include a fighter sized small PD weapon (excluding flak

Assyrian Empire

Our Race is ruled over by the High Priest of Ashur with the tital of King. He is the current holder of a long line of Kings first installed after they were saved from the fall of the Assyrian empire on Earth. All people work to further the aims of the empire and to glorify the King and the God Ashur.
In 670BC earth time the Assyrian empire was falling under the rush of many enemies. The God Ashur appeared and carried off the remnants of the people and placed them onto a planet in another part of the galaxy. This planet had no other sentient life form so the Assyrians could expand and grow with no threats. Unfortunately due to the aggressive nature of the Assyrians they still fought just among themselves, and therefore have had numerous civil war’s over the last 3,000 years. They have now developed Space flight and intent to conguour the quadrant, this will at least mean that they will not be fighting each other for a while.

Possible bugs in Devnullmod Version 1.66.0

I am using the latest version of SEV (1.66) with the latest version of the Devnullmod (1.66.0).

1. Building a small spaceyard actually seems to decrease the build rate as opposed to no spaceyard at all. Prior to building it, a research center can be built in 1 turn. After building it it takes 2 turns.

2. The size of facilities listed under the facilities tab is incorrect for nearly all facilities that are not level 1. For example: The default size (level 1) of a small spaceyard is 10MT. A level 5 small spaceyard is 8MT. Opening the facilities tab for the planet shows the size of the level 5 small spaceyard on the planet as 14MT. Also a level 5 radioactive extraction facility is 12MT. The size shown on the facilities tab is 18MT. The level 5 spaceyard is also incorrectly displayed as 60MT (it should be 35MT). The problem is just in the value displayed. The correct value is being used to total the space available on the planet. I haven't checked all the upgraded facilities. This is a display issue only and gameplay doesn't seem to be affected.

Alliegance subverter - bug?

1.66 - The alliegance subvertor states it only works on Crew. Makes sense, it's a psychic tech. So why can it take over my Base-station that is controlled by a Lvl15 Master computer and has no crew aboard?
This happens in both strategic and tactical combat.

What the...?

So, I bought SE5 and have been enjoying playing while I have a few days off here. I am several years into a game (Balance Mod) and doing well - made contact with most races and am about to wipe one out, when all of teh sudden I get a screen saying, "All human players have been eliminated from the game. Thank you for gaming..." What the #%^$ is going on here???

I dismissed the dialog ad see that all of my systems (a couple dozen or so) are now controlled by the race I had down to one planet and was just about to crush! Is there some kind of thing that can make such a thing happen?!?
