Get_Planet_Size and Get_Ship_Size formulaic functions!

Please enable get_planet_Size and get_ship_size functions to work in modding so that we can have ship-size based components and ship-size based facilities. Or facilities that benefit based on planet size.

Ideas to improve and not make the game "extreemly" complex

So I was thinking...

Some people were talking in the cult thread and one thing I dont like is bigger guns win

So What if research really costs something. I mean I see I price on them and that translates into points with research stations and what not but what if resources were actually deducted for each research you start and develop. Different technology would cost different things.

Just have like Shileds lvl 5 500 Metal 1000 rads 0 organics

Need Help With FQM Mod

Ok, last time I played this game was about a year ago. I decided to try out a mod. I normally stay away from mods because I can never get them to work and this time was no diffrent. Here is what I did.

1. Went to http://mm.spaceempires.net/download.php
2. Downloaded and installed the following:
a. Component Pack 1 into the Component folfer
b. Effects Pack 4 into the Effects folder
c. Steller Pack 2 into the Steller folder

3. Went to http://fqm5.spaceempires.net/download.php
4. Downloaded and installed FQM 5.0 Beta 12 into the Games type folder.

When I launch the Mod, none of the graphics, except the background, load.

Two problems I'm experiencing

1) How can I increase the computer AI difficulty further? Are there any mods that do this?
Right now I have it set for the highest difficulty and the highest computer bonus and I'm still stomping them. The problem the computer has is that it does not make a serious effort to expand. I always leave "View all players scores" on and by the time I colonized my 40th planet, my largest rival only had 8, the rest of the empires were around 2 or 3. I checked out their space and many of the empires had available planets (Right type of planet material, but wrong atmosphere) to colonize but simply had not. The one empire was even setup in a beautiful chokepoint guarding the only access to 8 systems, which would have had numerous green asterisk planets for them.

Intel: Research destruction

Has anyone seen a problem with intel sabotage and research?

I just got a message stating that "Research Project Destroyed" but I don't see an actual effect from this. My progress indicator for that project seems untouched and I don't think I lost a level or anything.

How should this work? Do you lose only that turn's contribution towards the next level's progress? Or do you lose a full level? Or should it wipe all progress for that research item? Or...what?

Ships are decloaked after each turn

I only have one ship with a cloaking device at the moment to test with but each turn I cloak it and on the next turn the ship has decloaked. The ship is in a system occupied by an empire I have an "allow colonies in each others systems" type treaty with. I'm not sure if this is a bug or whether there is some kind of automatic decloaking in friendly systems to conserve supplies or something going on .

False accusations from AI empires

In the current game I am playing I am constantly being accused of things I didn't do by other empires, both ones I have treaties with and ones I do not. My score is more than 3 times higher than the 2nd highest scorer so I'm not sure if this is a bug or just the AI empires making stuff up as an excuse to break treaties and gang up on me.

The things I am being accused of are mostly espionage and sabotage. This occurs if my intel spending on an empire is 0% or if I am spending points on co-operative intel to the empire that claims I'm spying on them.

Optimal conditions

Are there different degrees of optimal or does optimal mean the best it can possibly be? In other words, if you colonize a planet that is already optimal, will there be any effect to building a climate control facility?
