Component not showing in ship design menu

I've been trying to play a game with the mod, but when i try to design my first run of colony ships, none of the colony components are available to put on the ship. i'm running v 1.63 of the game.

Questions about Ability: Shield Generation from Damage.

My current question is can a component, say, Crystalline Armor as the example, be made to produce phased-shield points when damaged instead of regular shield points?

Or, are the points generated in that manner automatically made that of whichever type of generator you have installed?

Can AI attack through mined WP?

Once i mened all my WPs, each AI stopped sending ships through them after loosing ships there. Will they ever (in BM) come with mine sweepers? I know they have mine sweeper ships, but will they send them to known minefield?

Number of AI Empires generated too low

I play 1.63 with BM 1.11 and if i start a new game only 1-5 or even less AI Empires are generated. I selected no neutrals and high number of AI players. In BM settings.txt i set high/low number for the empires at high setting to 14 but with no effect. Any clues ?

Game hangs at Processing after all players turns

This is Unnamed mod, using the (most excellent!) Gorn shipset.

All players complete, but it hangs around 30% of the way through the end turn processing.

I did a full uninstall, took out everything, reinstall to 1.63, installed Unnamed and Gorn shipset.

Tried a different PC, same problem.

If I end task, I can restart that turn and it will complete for a couple of turns, then it happens again.

Help.

I have a save game.

How do I turn on logging? What would I be looking for?

This is an Unnamed mod game, but I don't know if its related to that mod. I doubt it. The only other custom item present at all is the Gorn shipset.

More realistic happiness system

I've been wanting to add a layer of difficulty in keeping planets at the Jubilant levels. As it stands now, planets either reach that level almost instantly, or will perpetually drop into riots. This makes very little sense.

While reading some posts concerning the external events script, I noticed it is possible to modify planet happiness at that stage. With this ability, I request someone work out how to apply a 'restoring force' to the happiness system. Here is the almost-pseudocode to do this:

Sys_Change_Planet_Population_Happiness(planet_id,(50 - Sys_Get_Planet_Happiness(planet_id)) / 10)

Civil War Event

The Mentality - a new BM AI

I've been working on an AI called The Mentality (my SEIV AI) which relies heavily on missionizing their targets. Using religious talismans, allegiance subverters, shield depleters, and boarding parties to ensure the conversion of whoever they come into contact with, The Mentality is an experimental AI to see if converting other empires to its religion is possible, more so than engaging them in battle.

The snag I've run into is this: in SEV, the subverter only captures ships during battle, but not permanently. What's worse is that once they are captured in battle by the subverter, I can't force a boarding party onto them for permanent capture. You would think that a subverted ship could be boarded to permanently pacify the crew, but it doesn't work this way. Sad

Out of curiosity, Ive browsed the "Photo exchange" section of SE wiki and noticed every single people involved with SE is male. Do you think it is a males-only game? Is there any female player or modder? Why cant I get my wife to play it? Answer those questions, if you can.
