Some moding help

OK I need some help with the AI, I am making a mod(sadly) and I want to know how I make the AI's use my Components, units, ship sizes, Facilities. so I'm going to make this easy on my little brain by:

1) If the Components name is Railgun

2) If the Units name is Slave

3) If the ship sizes name is Titan

4) If the Facilities name is Enormous Astrophysical Initiator

I like number systems. oh yes one more thing(5) how do I make a event happen, like the event that moves a ship around randomly, and make it a button option

FQM 5.00 Beta 12 Released

FQM 5.00 Beta 12 has been released. This release features lots of changes to stellar abilities, fancy new blackbody black holes, and organic infestation systems. Make sure to upgrade to the latest Multimedia Pack!

Version History:
1. Changed - Tweaked system counts of Old and Ancient quadrants.
2. Added - Dying quadrant type, with even more dead or dying stellar phenomena than Ancient quadrants.
3. Added - There are now 5 types of Asteroid Belt system.
4. Changed - Standard, Binary and Trinary systems now have between 1 and 3 storms. Quaternary and Quintuple systems have between 2 and 4 storms.

Balance Mod 1.11 Weapon Mount Problem

Hi... Me again

I have level 4 depleted uranium cannons and level 4 ship weapon mount research. The mounts does not display in my design interface although it did show when everything was level one I think. Are you aware of this or is it me thats making a mistake. First time I am trying out weapon mounts.

How do you add ships from other series?

I downloaded several ship stes from the website. How can I add them to the game so I can use them. I added the Star Wars Rebellion ship; however I only see the picture of Jimmy Smith as Senator Bail Organa, but I can seem to be able to place the ships in the right folder.

Patch 1.58 issues

Ok so i been playing SE5 now for a while and like it, but the other week i had to re-format my computer, well needless to say i had to re-install SE5, well i installed it (version 1.0) and downloaded the 1.58 patch, installed it.

Well, right off the bat i noticed problems, In empire creation, i cant save any empire i make....but the main one, is auto-complete in design don't work, as well as the AI ministers.

Did i miss something?

Ordinance Vats mod

Hi all,
I am play with my first mod and have hit a wall. I have created a new component that I copied from the Ordinance Vats. It is part of a new tech tree and everything shows up fine but when I have used some ordinance my new component is not generating any replacement ordnances. Is there something that I missed in a different .txt file? Will Ordinance Vats work in non Organic ships? This is an exact copy of the Ordinance Vats with just the racial trait changed, any thoughts on what I might have missed?
